Costs & Examination 'Energy English'

Costs
1 000 €

The KIT Senate approved at the end of September 2016, that the course fee will be reduced to 1 000 Euros. Thus, participants can apply for a Continuing Education Grant (“Bildungsprämie”) covering 50% of the fee, up to a maximum of 500 Euros.

The course fee includes online teaching materials, guidance and support, use of the online environment provided by the Center for Technology-Enhanced Learning (ZML), participation in exams and face-to-face meetings, as well as a certificate issued by an institute of higher education upon successful course completion. Expenses for travel, board and accommodation are not included in the tuition fee.

Examinations and qualification
In order to be eligible for examinations, participants are usually required to take part in some of the offered online group discussions, or to submit assignments in oral or written form. A detailed overview of exam requirements is provided on the learning platform.
The final examination consists of a written exam and a presentation which is to be held in English during face-to-face meetings. After successful completion of the language course you will receive a university certificate.

Please note, that the participation in the face-to-face-meetings is compulsory if you wish to receive the certificate.

The credit earned by successfully completing our MOOC “Power Up: English for the Energy Transition” at iversity.org can be applied toward this further education course by submitting a copy of the statement of participation by email upon enrolment.
