Course Structure 'Energy English'

The course is based on an online learning module consisting of texts, videos, and a large number of exercises with solutions. The course materials will be delivered to you for self-study via a web-based learning platform. Forums provide opportunity for communication and interaction with other students and tutors. To improve your active skills of speaking, online group discussions and speaking exercises will be offered. After submitting your recording as an audio file, you will receive a personal feedback from your tutor.

The online course is supplemented by two face-to-face meetings in Karlsruhe scheduled halfway through and at the end of the course. They provide opportunity for a written test and a presentation, both of which have to be successfully completed prior to receiving your certificate. Moreover, during these events you will be able to practice the previously learned vocabulary, to exchange ideas and knowledge with other participants, and to deepen your specialist knowledge during field trips. Throughout the entire course there will be tutors to provide you with academic guidance and help you with organizational matters.
