Further Education Course 'Renewable Energies'

Persons successfully completing the renewable energies professional development studies course are in a position to make a qualified assessment of the potential of various renewable forms of energy and to represent particularly the technical and physical perspective, as well as the environmental, economic, ethical and global political perspectives.
Both the energy resources themselves and their technical implementation for energy production will be considered.
The content design provides interfaces for particular professional activity and allows working on individual issues and the transfer of results into your own real-world applications.

 

Target groups
Target groups for the professional development studies course are experts and executives from the energy market or fields close to the sector who wish to acquire basic technical and scientific knowledge in the field of renewable energies. Representatives of politics, local authorities and from associations are also addressed. Environmental organisations are also invited, and so are consultancy companies and journalists. Likewise, newcomers who wish to improve their future job opportunities in the energy sector are also invited.

Instruction is performed with online support and includes limited in-person components and compulsory deadlines. This allows you to participate alongside your career or family obligations.

 

Duration and Workload       

Start date: November 14, 2016; kick-off event (online): 8pm to approcimately 9 pm
Face-to-face events: January 20-21, 2017 and May 12-13, 2017
Weekly workload: Approximately 8 to 10 hours
Credits: 10 credit points according to ECTS
