Gleanings: Keynote speeches of the Tübingen symposium

First part of the symposium with impulse lectures, presentations of relevant projects and the administrative regulation on vocational orientation

During the first part of the symposium at the Theologicum of the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tübingen, about 50 participants from grammar schools and employment agencies were able to listen to keynote speeches, learn about BESTOR projects for career and study orientation and about the current administrative regulations for the implementation of the BO guidelines in the secondary level II.

The morning began with a first keynote lecture by Professor Rudolf Schröder, holder of the Chair of Economic Education with a focus on career orientation at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg. In his lecture, he addressed the new challenges facing vocational and academic orientation at grammar schools and came to the conclusion, among other things, that the increased complexity in the design of vocational orientation would not be possible without a school pedagogical approach and suitable qualifications of teachers, school management and cooperation partners.
