Eucor – The European Campus

Eucor - The European Campus is the tri-national network of the universities of Basel, Freiburg, Haute-Alsace, Strasbourg and KIT. The aim of the alliance is to establish a joint scientific area with international appeal on the Upper Rhine and to jointly develop solutions for key issues of the future such as sustainability, personalized medicine, energy, mobility, digitalization and European values and identities. The current "Eucor Renforcé" project is set for the period 2024-2030 and focuses, among other things, on promoting joint courses, increasing student mobility and expanding activities in the areas of research and transfer.

In the area of teaching, the ZML supports the increase in mobility between the partner universities and the expansion of joint courses with a comprehensive range of advice and support for teaching staff. In particular, the potential of digital tools and teaching formats is used to link physical and virtual mobility in a didactically meaningful way and to make joint courses accessible across different locations.

For lecturers at KIT, Eucor opens up the possibility of opening courses to students from the partner universities or developing joint cross-border teaching formats and receiving media and university didactic support from the ZML. In addition to the ZML, the International Services Unit (INTL) and the Scientific Computing Center (SCC) at KIT are also involved in the project.
