KI Community of Practice at KIT
The KI Community of Practice invites all KIT employees to actively participate in discussions about generative artificial intelligence. In the open MS Teams channel, the focus is on mutual learning, collaborative discussions, and creative engagement with new AI applications. Various channels offer you the opportunity to share experiences, experiment together, and learn from one another. Our target is to strengthen AI expertise at KIT through collegial collaboration and to foster an open, constructive AI culture in our day-to-day work.
Use the MS Teams channel “Exchange” to connect with other KIT employees: Share your experiences, discuss current developments, or report on your experiments with generative AI. The focus is on mutual exchange among peers—so everyone can benefit from the diverse knowledge and ideas within our community.
About the Community
Would you like to do more than just discuss AI applications—would you like to try them out for yourself? The KI Challenge offers you the opportunity to put your skills to the test with creative and practical AI tasks. The results and insights will then be presented in a webinar. This way, we can learn from one another and strengthen our expertise in working with artificial intelligence in a fun and engaging way.

At the KI Lab, you’ll meet like-minded people to experiment together and engage in informal discussions. Just stop by, discuss your ideas, or develop your own AI applications together with others. The Lab meets regularly on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the ZML, InformatiKOM (Building 50.19, 4th floor, Room 459)—open to anyone who’s curious and interested in learning together.
